Darl McBride, chief executive officer of SCO, suggested during a conference call with media and analysts that Groklaw founder Pamela Jones may not be the person who she claims to be. Asked by Tom’s Hardware Guide, he fell short of providing details on SCO’s knowledge of Jones’ background but said the company is researching the matter and was close to a result.
Groklaw is an increasingly popular website, that follows the especially the lawsuit between SCO and IBM. SCO recently published its own Groklaw-like site to publish its side of the story (www.sco.com/scoip). According to McBride, Groklaw is published using Pamela Jones as misleading identity and in reality was pushed by a third party. (THG)
