NEW YORK Wireless developers were expected to announce on Wednesday that they would work to meld Bluetooth, the short-range technology for linking cellphones and cordless headsets, with UWB.
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group, a 3,400-member group with the backing of Nokia, Motorola and Intel, was expected to disclose that it had begun work with two industry groups that are developing rival versions of ultrawideband, or UWB, technology.
