Resistance 2, Killzone 2, and Infamous are among a batch of new titles that have been branded as PS3 “Greatest Hits” and will receive new packaging as well as a lower price point.
According to an article on IGN, 10 games in total have been added to the platform’s top-selling brand designation. The total number of PS3 Greatest Hits titles is now 39.
Here’s a list of the newest entrants to the family of games that now cost around $30 instead of the typical $59.99 price tag:
– God of War: Collection
– LittleBigPlanet Game of the Year Edition
– Resistance 2
– Killzone 2
– Dead Space
– Fight Night Round 4
– Resident Evil 5
– Soulcalibur IV
– UFC 2009 Undisputed.
Half of the titles are first-party exclusives from Sony, while the rest are multi-platform releases from other publishers.
Previous entries into the Greatest Hits tier on PS3 include Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
“Our ‘Greatest Hits’ library is expanding faster than ever, and the quality of these titles is just phenomenal. From the start, we’ve been committed to delivering huge value to our consumers and we will continue to do so for the PS3 platform in 2010 and beyond,” said Sony Computer Entertainment America marketing VP Scott Steinberg.
