RIM may appeal court blockage of Certicom hostile takeover

Waterloo (Ontario) – Blackberry maker, Research in Motion (RIM), offered in December to buy software encryption maker Certicom Corp for $66 million Canadian. Ultimately, a court blocked the buyout effort because, according to Certicom, RIM had breached non-disclosure agreements in 2007 and 2008.

As a result of continued deliberation, RIM announced yesterday that it may appeal the court order blocking the hostile takeover of Certicom Corp.
