Logitech expands Wireless Music System line

Fremont (CA) – Logitech today announced a new addition to its Wireless Music System line.

The Wireless DJ Music System uses Logitech’s Music Anywhere wireless technology that includes a USB transmitter that connects to a PC and Receiver/Dock with stereo RCA and 3.5 mm headphone jack outputs. Formats supported include MP3, iTunes (AAC), WMA, Internet radio, and podcast ormats.

The differentiating feature of the system is the Wireless DJ remote with blue backlit LCD display and mechanical scroll wheel for menu navigation. The remote also includes an active playlist feature, called the DJ List, which allows the addition of songs or albums to a play queue without stopping the music. The remote works with Logitech’s Windows-based StreamPoint software and aggregates audio files, playlists, and favorite Internet radio stations from iTunes, Windows Media Player and Musicmatch Jukebox.

The product will be available in late September at a suggested retail price of $250. An add-on receiver (up to a total of four are supported) will also be offered for $80 MSRP.
