Time Warner to outline AOL's future on 2 August

Time Warner today said that it will be disclosing details about it plans for its AOL division after its second-quarter earnings conference, which is scheduled for 2 August. The company said that it will be presenting the business strategy to analysts behind closed doors and that it intends to infomr the public “in the near future.”

Recent media reports that focused on information that AOL may be departing from fee-based services (excluding its online access service) “appear to be based on unauthorized disclosures” Time Warner said in a statement released on Tuesday.

These reports included “incomplete and largely erroneous financial information,” Time Warner said and cautioned “investors not to draw conclusions regarding AOL’s future strategy until the company’s presentation on 2 August.”
