A new design for HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario notebooks

Hewlett-Packard has redesigned the package of its Pavilion dv2000 entertainment notebook series as well as the business-customer focused Compaq Presario V3000 series. The manufacturer calls the new design “HP Imprint,” which consists a high-gloss coating and a higher-quality molding technique to create a more unique appearance for the mobile computers.

Next to the dv2000, a total of five Presario notebooks are available with Imprint – the nc2400, the 4400, the 6400, the 7400 and 8400, spanning all the way from ultra-portable to desktop replacement devices. Pricing for the new models starts at around $750 (7400) and tops out at $1600 (2400) for standard configurations.
