Intel sells CBB-compliant notebooks in China

Notebook have shipped in China under Intel’s Common Building Blocks (CBB) initiative, which aims to standardize notebook components, according to Bill Siu, vice President and general manager of the Intel channel platforms group, at the opening of the Asia-Pacific Intel solutions Summit (APAC ISS) that run from April 20 through 22 in Sanya, Hainan Province (China). The first batch of CBB-compliant notebooks feature Intel’s dual-core Napa platform, with prices ranging from 7999 to 9999 yuan ($247-309), said Siu.
