London – Technology website Tom’s Hardware Guide has today launched its UK & Irish edition which will bring local content and insight to the publications readers in the British Isles.
All of the existing content readers are used to seeing in the US edition of the website will be published in localized format; and new content in the form of local news, product reviews and features will be published exclusively in the new edition.
The launch of Tom’s Hardware Guide UK & Ireland brings the number of countries and regions in which the site has come to be published since it was first founded by Dr. Tomas Pabst in 1996 to twelve.
“The UK and Ireland edition of Tom’s Hardware Guide will allow us to better serve the needs of our growing audience in those markets. Tom’s Hardware Guide appears in many localized versions around the world, and it is our aim to deliver more targeted information and services to our readers wherever they live,” said Hermann Eiden, Vorstand, TG Publishing AG.
Experienced technology journalist and pundit Aaron McKenna will take the reigns as Managing Editor of the UK & Ireland edition. “Through localization of our existing content and the creation of local news and feature articles I intend to make Tom’s Hardware Guide a far more relevant and accessible publication to our readers in the region” he said.
“A processor is a processor and a graphics card a graphics card the world over, but topical issues and the companies who drive them are different wherever you go” he continued. “We have all our bases covered with reviews and other articles from the US edition, and we intend to build on this in order to give ourselves the edge as not only the publication at the bleeding edge of the technology curve; but also the one who can notice the subtle nuances and differences in a region which can make all the difference to readers.”
