Tech salaries hit new record level

Despite a general downturn in the technology economy partly relating to outsourcing to lower-wage economies, hourly salaries for tech professionals in the US have increased 11% since 2001 to their highest level ever.

The average wage between October and November of 2005 was $30.27, with ‘high-impact’ professionals earning the most, at $79.05 per hour for the highest paid.
