3Dfx prepares new Voodoo boards
3-D chip maker 3Dfx Interactive Inc. unveiled its first line of graphics acceleration add-in boards to be marketed under its own brand name.
The Voodoo 2000, 3000, and 3500 boards will use 3Dfx’s next-generation Voodoo3 graphics chip, due in March.
The boards will come in PCI and AGP versions, in a price range from $130 for the Voodoo 2000 with 16MB of SDRAM to $250 for the Voodoo 3500 with 16MB of SGRAM and LCD support. More information is available on the 3Dfx web site.
