Ricoh introduces first-ever color laser printer

Ricoh Corp. brought out its first-ever color laser printer, the Ricoh AP204, during the Seybold Seminar & Exhibition in Boston.

The AP204 is a compact, high-performance desktop printer that offers high speed, high quality output, in both color and black and white, for an affordable price. The printer provides 16 pages per minute (ppm) in black and white mode, four ppm in full color, and prints the first page in less than 19 seconds for black and white, and less than 30 seconds for full color.

With exceptional 600-by-600 dpi resolution for both color and black and white, the RICOH AP204 delivers four-color processing in cyan, magenta, yellow and black. It will be available in March 1999.
