Programmable keypad, foot switch make computing comfy

Kinesis Corp. has introduced a programmable keypad and foot switch, allowing users to increase their productivity and ease mouse- and keyboard-related discomfort.

Users can create shortcuts for keying-intensive activities such as 10-key numeric input, CAD design, software programming and word processing. The user can employ either device to activate key actions or trigger macros to personally suit their needs.

The keypad and foot switch are also designed to minimize the risk factors leading to repetitive strain injuries, with the potential benefit of increased productivity even for healthy keyboard users.

The programmable keypad and foot switch are designed for PC operating systems, but are also compatible with Sun, Mac and/or USB portoperation when used with the appropriate Kinesis adapter.

The company’s web site is at http://www.kinesis-ergo.com.
