Hewlett-Packard Co.’s HP OmniBook XE2 notebook PC is available with the new 333MHz Celeron processor, running Windows NT Workstation 4.0.
Estimated U.S. street prices for the new notebook are expected to start at approximately $1,600.
HP says it will extend its service and support programs for the HP OmniBook XE2 notebook PC with a next-business-day repair program, slated to debut this summer.
The XE2 notebook PC boasts an all-in-one design that incorporates a hard drive, floppy-disk drive and CD-ROM drive as standard integrated equipment, eliminating the need to transport and swap additional components.
The 6.38-pound XE2 notebook features up to a 6.2GB hard drive, 64MB of SDRAM, a 128-bit graphic controller with 2MB of embedded DRAM, a 13.3″ XGA TFT display, a built-in 24X CD-ROM, and a 56 kbps V.90 modem.
