Specifications, pricing and benchmarks for GamePC’s dual-CPU Excalibur computer system have been announced.
The system’s main components include: two Intel Celeron 300MHz CPUs overclocked to 450MHz; Abit’s BP6 mainboard with 128MB of Micron PC100 CAS2 SDRAM; Western Digital’s Expert ATA-66 18GB hard drive; a Voodoo3 3000 video card; a Diamond Monster Sound MX300 sound card; a USR/3Com 56K modem; and a Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 98 SE dual-boot OS.
GamePC says that with the upcoming release of several new applications and games that support multiple CPUs, systems like this will become increasingly popular in the near future.
