Intel will delay the debut of its mobile Pentium III processor.
Citing OEM sources, ZDNN reports the chip’s introduction has been pushed back about a month, to late October or even early November.
Sources say the processor was to be announced in September at clock speeds of 400MHz, 450MHz and 500MHz.
In June, Intel confirmed that its Coppermine design, which forms the basis of the Mobile Pentium III, has proven problematic, preventing Pentium IIIs from performing at 600MHz and higher clock speeds.
