Delkin Devices has unveiled what it claims is the highest capacity CompactFlash card on the market.
Company test results show Delkin’s new 128 MB CompactFlash has double (in some cases triple) the current storage capacity of most CF cards on the market.
Designed for use with megapixel digital cameras as well as audio MP3 players and handheld PC’s with Windows CE Pro Edition, the card is capable of storing more than three thousand digital pictures, company officials said. Delkin says it also offers the industry’s fastest write performance of up to 1.5MB per second.
The 128MB CompactFlash employs solid state storage, meaning there is no moving parts inside the card, providing higher data protection than conventional PC cards or floppy disks, and data retention of more than 10 years.
