SafeBoot stamps out data theft

Fischer International has announced SafeBoot 3.3, software designed to prevent the data stored on a user’s hard disk from being accessed by an unauthorized person.

SafeBoot encrypts the data stored on the hard drive and secures access to the PC via a password at boot time.

The software also supports floppy, smart card and PCMCIA access tokens.

SafeBoot is compatible with Windows 3.1 and higher. The software is priced at $59.95 for a single user, with quantity discounts available for enterprise installations.
