Intel has introduced a 533MHz Celeron processor, providing a power boost for value-priced desktop PCs.
The new chip features 128 kB of Level 2 cache and a 66MHz system bus. The processor will be offered soon in new PCs from a number of system manufacturers.
The chip is also the last model the company plans to fabricate using its 0.25 micron manufacturing process, prior to moving Celeron to the same 0.18 micron fab process now used for the Pentium III.
