Credit card hacker threatens to strike again

The hacker who published 25,000 stolen credit card numbers after a failed extortion attempt says he will release more card numbers.

In an e-mail to NBC News, a hacker calling himself “Maxus,” aka “Maxim,” said he stole 300,000 credit card files from online music retailer CD Universe.

The site he set up to hand out stolen card information was shut down over the weekend, but he claims he’ll soon open up a new site to dispense the card data.
