`Joshua' processor to debut soon

VIA Technologies’ Joshua processor is likely to be officially rolled out with a product line in early March, according to The Register.

The processor features a socket 370 pinout on P6 bus interface, integrated 64 kb L1 cache, integrated mutually exclusive 256 kb L2 cache and 133 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) support.

Silicon for the .18 micron chip is manufactured by National Semiconductor, which used to own Cyrix technology, which in turn was acquired last year by VIA.
