Microsoft's got a mini-browser in its PocketPC

Microsoft will show off a new version of its Internet Explorer browser, designed for its Palm-size platform called PocketPC, at the CeBIT trade show in Germany this week.

The Pocket Explorer mini-browser will allow users to view sites offline, automatically reformatting sites for better viewing on the PocketPC’s small screen. Users can also use a certain kind of phone, called GSM, to connect the device directly to the Internet.

PocketPC, which utilizes the Windows CE operating system, is scheduled to ship in the first half of this year.
