Microsoft has acquired the domain name `xbox.com’, refueling speculation about its mysterious next-generation gaming console.
The Xbox reportedly is designed to compete with Sony’s PlayStation 2 and Nintendo’s upcoming device, code-named Dolphin. Sources expect it will feature 64MB of memory, a 4GB hard drive, Intel Celeron or AMD Athlon processors, and the latest graphics chip from Nvidia.
An official unveiling of the device could come in two weeks, when Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates delivers the keynote address at the San Jose Game Developers Conference.
