IBM will partner with Japan’s TDK to develop Bluetooth wireless products for IBM’s ThinkPad laptops.
The products include PC cards and other devices that would hook onto the laptops and allow for both data and voice transmissions. IBM said they should be available in the third quarter for less than $200.
Bluetooth technology allows short-range wireless connections between computers, peripherals, mobile phones and other electronic devices.
