PlayStation2 copy protection foiled again

Gamers in Japan have found another way around the copy-protection system in Sony’s recently launched Playstation2.

Users reportedly have been able to exploit the game console’s analog RGB output to illegally copy DVD content to videotape.

According to industry sources, the DVD Copy Control Association prohibits outfitting any DVD player with an analog RGB output.

However, a Sony spokesman said the company did nothing wrong, and that the PlayStation’s RGB interface complies with the DVD specs.
