Microsoft ruling delayed

Settlement talks have apparently delayed a decision in the U.S. government’s antitrust case against Microsoft.

District Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson last week said he would issue a decision in the case today unless the two sides could negotiate a compromise.

Last year, Jackson found that Microsoft abused monopoly power, hurting the industry and consumers.
