In just two days, Slashdot received an order from Microsoft lawyers to

remove reader comments about a Microsoft security product, won a “Webby” for best community site, and suffered an ongoing “denial of service” attack that left the site inaccessible to many users.

Slashdot posted the cease-and-desist order, prompting a barrage of anti-Microsoft rhetoric from its readers.
