IBM's newest, most super computer

Built for a Finnish research group, the newest supercomputer integrates 512 processors, performs a trillion calculations per second, and costs $4.5 million. Built three years after Deep Blue, the computer that beat world chess master Garry Kasparov, the new supercomputer is 150 times faster and paves the way for IBM’s next supercomputer, designed to solve genetic problems, that will perform one quadrillion, or one million billion, calculations a second.
