MusicMatch gives Mac users their own Jukebox

MusicMatch has introduced a Mac-based version of its software for playing and organizing digital music files.

Jukebox 1.0 for the Macintosh, available free from MusicMatch’s Web site, lets users record CDs, download music from the Internet, organize songs into playlists and transfer them to portable digital music players.

The San Diego-based firm said it is the first music software to offer free CD-quality recording, with a sampling rate of 320 kilobits per second (kbps) – more than three times as good as other versions.
