Trojan hoax?

Last week, it was widely reported that a Trojan horse hidden in a video file had planted the tools, on thousands of unsuspecting hard drives, for an imminent large-scale denial of service attack. According to Britain’s The Register, the story is largely a hoax and the blame can be traced back to a computer security firm that skillfully manipulated the technology media.

In a related story, a Wired News writer debunks, for the most part, the cell phone virus.
