Windows boss resigns as Me retails

As Windows Me officially hits the retail market, at $10 below the list price through many vendors, the Microsoft VP who headed the Windows product line is gone from the company. Group Vice President Paul Maritz, according to Microsoft, unexpectedly resigned. His departure is the latest in a number of high-level resignations that have followed the court-mandated partitioning of the software company. One analyst explains, “A lot of these guys are saying, this just isn’t any fun anymore.”
