PDAs and phones converging

For all the talk of convergence between personal digital assistants and cell phones, it seems it may finally happen. According to multiple reports, Handspring will announce several new PDAs compatible with a VisorPhone module, to cost $299, that will merge a PDA with a cell phone. The product will be available in the US before the holidays and in Europe the first of the year. In related news, AT&T Wireless CEO John Zeglis recently gave a keynote address at the Internet Telecom Expo, demonstrating a prototype of a “palm on steroids” his lab is working on.
