In what could be an important case for testing existing cybercrime legalities, the FBI has used evidence gathered using a small device agents planted in the computer of a man suspected of running a gambling business without government permission. Though Nicodemo “Little Nicky” Scarfo used PGP encryption, the device was able to capture not only his password, but also everything he typed on the computer, for playback.
