According to The Register, a source within memory manufacturer Kingston Technology has stated that Rambus memory is still too expensive to compete with SDRAM. RIMMs, he reports, are reportedly selling for two and a half times the price of SDRAM, which has been falling in price recently. Kingston also makes DDR memory and does not expect slow sales of Pentium 4s to change the situation markedly in the near term.
