According to a writer for EETimes, the improvement in Intel Corp.’s PC chipset graphics performance is forcing graphics chip producers like Nvidia Corp. to move to 1,024 x 768-pixel resolutions, Nvidia and others, he says, are currently defining the interfaces to connect to TV-out devices. Focus Enhancements, for example, has been working with Nvidia to match its FS450 TV video processor chip to the graphics chip company’s G-Force graphics processor. XGA-enabled graphics cards supporting TV-out are expected by the middle of the year.
