Sega to cut Dreamcast price in half

Carefully avoiding any show of support for the Linux operating system over Microsoft’s Windows, Intel Corp.’s VP of architecture promoted the use of the open-source Linux in enterprise servers at LinuxWorld. William Swope demonstrated a four-way IA-64 Itanium Linux cluster running Convolo clustering software from Mission Critical Linux to deliver streaming video. Intel Developer Services also unveiled the Intel Early Access Service that lets developers build, test and debug IA-64-based open-source applications without charge.
