Belgian police raid Napster users

Napster execs have created the “Napster Action Network” in an effort to turn its 60 million users into political activists. A newsletter e-mailed Tuesday asked members to write or call legislators, attend demonstrations and recruit other supporters for the file-sharing service.

In related news, the US Senator from Utah, Republican Orrin Hatch, seems to be taking the lead among political supporters of Napster. Hatch has spoken emphatically in opposition to the ruling that will apparently shut down the file-sharing service and he will apparently call for additional hearings into the music industry and current copyright law.
