MS judges seem skeptical of breakup case

In what may be just bad timing for Microsoft Corp., the US Federal Trade Commission is charging the company with false and deceptive advertising. It is, in fact, the second time in a year. At issue are ads aimed at Palm Inc. that implied that buyers would receive services without paying extra fees – unless they read the extremely fine print. Microsoft has ended the advertising campaign and is expected to settle without admitting guilt.
