Pure cool for hard drives

If there is one area of purity left in the enthusiast market, it must be state of the art cooling. Now, the next battleground has to be the hard drive. Antec’s got a new system which includes an aluminum heatsink and two thermally controlled variable speed fans. It also features two built-in temperature sensors to monitor both hard drive and case temperatures, as well as a lit temperature display with selectable Celsius or Fahrenheit digital readout. It’s available for about $29.95. It’s pure hard core stuff, if you just search for what’s selling online. It’ll be interesting to see how the technology pans out before you end up dipping your PC in a liquid nitrogen bath.
