Patent Granted for Digital Camera Mounted on Gun

A patent has been granted for a “fully integrated compact digital camera” mounted on a telescopic scope, or on a sight on a handgun, that automatically snaps a photograph of the target when the trigger on the gun is pulled. The camera takes photographs at the rate of 30 frames per second, which are stored in the digital memory. The designer, Terry Gordon of New York, cited the digital image as being useful to target shooters and hunters, as well as to law enforcement agencies investigating contested facts of a shooting. The digital camera is detachable from the gun and can be used as a regular digital camera.
