Rich fans want to get the Concorde back in the air

After nearly 12 years in the hangar, Club Concorde, wants to see the legendary supersonic jet back in the air.

The group of engineers, ex-pilots, airline executives and (rich) Concorde enthusiasts, plan to invest $250 million to get a Concorde airborn again. The club has set its eyes on a specific plane, located at Le Bourget airport Paris.

There are no plans of resuming commercial flights; after restoration, the plane will be chartered or used for corporate events.

Although the Concorde will never fly commercial routes again, it could reanimate the supersonic flight era, convincing the big manufacturers to realize existing plans.
