Crucial Introduces USB Flash Drive

Popular memory manufacturer, Crucial Technology, have just announced a new addition to their product range, the Gizmo USB flash drive. Crucial describe the Gizmo as “a miniature, portable flash storage drive that plugs into a computer’s Universal Serial Bus (USB) port.”. The flash drive is about the size and weight of a pack of chewing gum, and the fact that it comes in densities of 64MB, 128MB, and 256MB makes it an ideal alternative to the cumbersome, low-density 3.5″ floppy disks that we’ve all become accustomed to. The floppy drive’s days are just about up, and we’ll be truly surprised if they are not completely phased out by this time next year.
