Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) today announced complete hardware and software reference designs for Bluetooth-enabled mobile devices. In addition, TI today introduced a Bluetooth/802.11 coexistence package that allows simultaneous operation of Bluetooth and Wireless LAN (WLAN) applications for devices incorporating both wireless technologies. “TI stated that their TCS2100 and TCS2200 Bluetooth-enabled reference designs provide manufacturers with a complete, cost effective, ready-to-manufacture hardware and software solutions for Class 12 GPRS handset applications. The designs combine TI’s GSM/GPRS chipsets and its Bluetooth single chip.”
