IBM delivers grid-laced WebSphere

Trying to edge grid computing closer to the commercial mainstream, IBM on Monday unveiled a new capability in WebSphere designed to access untapped resources across an enterprise and apply them through a single virtual system. “Built into WebSphere Version 5.0.2 is a “traffic cop-like” feature that can intelligently monitor application workloads and automatically re-route network traffic to specific servers depending on its workload at any give time.”
