JEDEC firms up DDR 2 standard

Memory standard board JEDEC said over 100 companies had agreed on the acceptance of a standard for double data rate two (DDR2) memory technology. “The standard covers memory from 256Mbit to 4Gigabit DRAM chips, with 4/8/16 interfaces. It also covers pin outs, addressing, features, packaging and the like.”
